Easter Spring Porch with a Fabulous Flea Market Redo

Spring is here which means that Easter is right around the corner.  If you know me then you know I love decorating for the holidays, Easter is no exception.  I have finished decorating my Easter/Spring porch and just wanted to share it with you all.  I also wanted to share my flea market chair redo that I recently finished for my porch.  Bringing a chair (or a spot to perch) to your porch really invites guests as well as encourages you to spend more time on your porch engaging with the outdoors and neighbors nearby.  I loved the concept of generations past spending time on their front porch being neighborly that I always want to recreate that pass time.  To do so you need to get comfortable and pull up a spot on your porch.

First thing first, Easter! Yay!! I love all the spring and Easter colors this season has to offer.  So refreshing after a dreary winter, don’t you think?  First off check out my lanterns with a unique Easter display of birdcages filled with porcelain eggs. I love to be able to continue to use my lanterns through seasons and holidays but switching it up with the contents inside to feel fresh and new.

Next up the Easter wreath.  You can’t have an Easter porch without a proper Easter wreath.  I love the theme of eggs yet again with a twig/moss combo that intertwines the eggs together in such an organic way.  Keeping in harmony with the natural color scheme with fun pops of blue and yellow, this robin blue egg wreath fits right in.

Pulling it all together with a rather colorful Easter scheme, attributing to all the colors of the porch, the welcome mat.  I purchased the mat from Target last summer and just love it to this day.  It is perfect for a good pick me up, a splash of happy right before you come in.

Lastly, the flea market chair with my grandmothers Easter bunny handed down.  Loving the flower textured pillow in bright yellow partnering up with the yellow flowers in the bunny and yellow in the rug.  If this doesn’t scream Spring then I don’t know what does.  Doesn’t it make you just want to perch on my porch with a good book, curled up under that blue throw with your favorite beverage? Seriously planning on doing this today!

Now to touch on my flea market redo. First, check the before and after.  What a difference reupholstering the cushion in an indoor/outdoor fabric with a  more natural color can make!!  I added a back cushion reupholstered in the same fabric as the seat cushion.  I am looking forward to placing throw pillows and throw blankets in fun designs that complement each season and holiday!   The best part is this chair cost me $20 and the Fabric cost me $12 (my back cushion is an old couch cushion recycled) that makes a total $32.  For a chair that can rival some cute wicker/rattan chairs at amazing stores like Target, Article., All Modern, etc. for hundreds of dollars I will totally take the $32 price tag!!

Happy Spring everyone!  Now get outdoors and enjoy your porch!! I know I will be enjoying mine.
